Job Title: Broker Associate
What It Should Be: Consummate Team Player
Also Known As: The One Who Was a Client before She Was an Employee
Yep, that’s the truth: When Amanda and her family relocated to the Denver area in 2015, they were themselves beneficiaries of Destination Denver Realty’s relocation services. Having only a few days to find their new Home Sweet Home as part of a corporate relocation, Amanda and her husband spent several days touring the area, looking at homes that matched their criteria—to be near the mountains and have a neighborhood pool, if you’re curious—and picking the brain of President/Employing Broker Laura Demaree all the while.
Now several years later, Amanda still loves their amenity-rich neighborhood in Arvada and hopes never to leave Colorado, where the mountain views and great weather have sold her on staying here permanently!
Born and raised in southwest Michigan, Amanda attended Ferris State University, where she met her husband through a mutual friend. Soon after, they began their own series of relocation adventures: First packing up a tiny U-Haul trailer and heading to New Mexico, where she worked in the medical profession while her husband studied geophysics in graduate school, and then moving to various oil and gas industry locales, including Bartlesville (OK), Borger (TX), Houston, Tulsa, and—eventually—Denver.
Having relocated so many times herself—both as a newlywed and later with kids in tow—Amanda empathizes with those facing the challenge, anxiety and excitement associated with these life-changing events and looks forward to helping clients every step of the way.
When she’s not working, you’re likely to find her spending time with her 15-year-old twin boys, cooking, reading, traveling or trying to figure out how to best raise teenagers in the digital age.
Amanda can be reached at email@example.com or 720-322-6444.

Five Little-Known Facts About Amanda:
- Holds a degree in opthalmic technology, which allows her to see things more clearly than others (at least that’s what we think).
- Connoisseur of true crime books.
- Once packed up everything she owned to move from Michigan to New Mexico, even before visiting the state.
- Co-workers call her generous, kind, happy, fun, and the first to pitch in when help is needed.
- Considers herself an introvert (but we’re not buying it).
“I truly am more interested in helping clients find their dream home than I am about making a quick sale.”
Charity Challenge – The Denver Hospice
When her mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer years ago, Amanda witnessed firsthand the benefits that Hospice care programs provide—not only to patients themselves but to loved ones, family members, and round-the-clock caregivers as well. As a result, Amanda is once again raising funds for The Denver Hospice as part of this year’s Charity Challenge.
